The food quality has improved largely over previous owners (Kiwi Bowl). The highlight for me is the much improved SS chicken pieces. They appear to be hand-battered instead of a huge ball of frozen dough with a tiny cube of chicken. The Gen Tao chicken had great flavour. I'm still a little disappointed in the fried rice, its somewhat overcooked, and lacks visual appeal. I would take 1/3 less rice but put some "love" into making it look and taste great, add some colour using inexpensive ingredients. I challenge the Lantern owners to go to The Flame House in Elmira and try their fried rice and other Asian inspired dishes. The flavour is excellent.
